Shipping Information And Policies

Fresh Fish Shipping Information & Policies

Basic Information

Pine Tree Seafood & Produce will ship Monday through Friday and the shipping will be done via UPS NEXT DAY. Saturday shipping will cost an additional $15 cost. Shipping is available to anywhere in the continental US, not Alaska or Hawaii. It is essential to place orders prior to 3PM Eastern Time for guaranteed next day arrival. We will do all we can to expedite later in the day orders, but cannot guarantee anything beyond the 3PM time.

When we ship the rules say that it cannot be done to Post Office Boxes, unnumbered routes or other addresses that confound the people at UPS. There will be a TRACKING NUMBER available for every shipment after 2PM. Weather delays can always intervene, but we are confident in the quality of UPS. There will be no deliveries in 2012 and 2013 on:

  • New Year's Day

  • Memorial Day

  • July 4

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Christmas

  • Shipments will be delivered to your residence and follow UPS regulations, taking care to leave package in authorized areas. It is best to have someone available, but not a total necessity. Non-deliverable packages will be able to be picked up at UPS station or re-delivered the following day.

Costs

The total will include PRODUCT, packing (box, gel pack etc.), and shipping charges. These are not inexpensive, but we shall constantly work to get the best possible rate. As is with all air-freight the more ordered the better the cost and rates will be. Please call Dick Whitmore at 207 649-9367 with any shipping questions.

Cooking

Cooking is fairly simple and easiest done by boiling. Fill half to two thirds with water. salted to taste, pot large enough to handle the lobsters. Bring water to a boil and then place lobsters in the pot, head first. When the pot boils over the lobsters, time 12-15 minutes with hard shell, 7-8 minutes soft shell. When done, take out of pot, give chance to breathe a few minutes and ENJOY. Crackers will be needed for hard shells, lobster picks can get to all meat and in butter or by themselves lobsters are a treat!

Cancellation policy
  • Cancellation policy: Any cancellations will incurr a 6% handling/processing fee which will be deducted from the total credit requested of the previously ordered item(s).
